The Lido Civic Club of Washington, D.C. is pleased to announce that it has selected Salvatore Galatioto, President of Galatioto Sports Partners (GSP), to receive the 2021 Lido Civic Club Man of the Year Award. This award will be presented at the annual Lido Civic Club Past Presidents Night Gala on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Hilton McLean, Tysons Corner.
“We are delighted that on this, the 92nd Anniversary of the founding of the Lido Civic Club, we are honoring an outstanding American of Italian descent who has been a dynamic business leader and has served his community via local charitable and industry organizations,” said Richard DiPippo, President of the Lido Civic Club.
As founder of GSP, Mr. Galatioto sets the standard for excellence in sports finance and advisory services. For more than 20 years, he has overseen critical engagements in more than 100 transactions in the major U.S. professional sports leagues as Financial Advisor, Arranger and Agent. A small sample of key clients and relationships includes ownership and management of the Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Florida Panthers, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Giants and New York Yankees, and spans over two dozen franchises across MLB, NFL, NBA and the NHL.
Mr. Galatioto has received numerous industry leadership awards that include Street & Smith’s Sports Business Journal’s “50 Most Influential People in Sports Business.” In 2018, he was named one of Sports Business Journal’s six “Champions: Pioneers & Innovators in Sports Business,” and was honored at the 2018 World Congress of Sports.
The Lido Civic Club of Washington, D.C. was founded in 1929 by a group businessmen and professionals to assist new members of the Italian American community assimilate into the civic activities of the community, support worthy civic activities and patriotic causes, honor outstanding Italian Americans, and celebrate their mutual Italian heritage and culture. Over the years, the Lido Civic Club has awarded more than $900,000 in college scholarships to Italian American students and has promoted the Italian language and culture. The group has also assisted wounded service men and women and has been involved in many charitable activities.
Public Service Humanitarian Award: Dr. John Rosa

The Lido Civic Club of Washington, D.C. is pleased to announce that it has selected Dr. John Rosa, DC to receive the 2021 Public Service Humanitarian Award. This award will be presented at the annual Lido Civic Club Past Presidents Night Gala on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the Hilton McLean, Tysons Corner.
"We are delighted that on this, the 92nd Anniversary of the founding of the Lido Civic Club, we are honoring an outstanding American of Italian descent who, as a humanitarian, has provided service to our country for many years", said Richard DiPippo, President of the Lido Civic Club.
Dr. Rosa, founder of Accessible Beltway Clinics, which is comprised of 17 health clinics in Maryland and Virginia, combines medicine, chiropractic, physical therapy, acupuncture and behavioral medicine to give a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to pain syndromes and musculoskeletal disorders. He was a Trustee of New York Chiropractic College for over 15 years and served his final 3-year term as Chairman of the Board.
He is a nationally recognized expert in the Opioid Crisis and he is working hard to slow the spread of this major American health crisis. He had an early understanding of the potential catastrophic impact of opioid crisis. He has provided outstanding service as: White House Surrogate/Consultant, Law Enforcement Consultant (Homeland Security, CBP, DOJ, DEA and Postal), State and National Consultant to Opioid Task Forces, Corporate and professional organization consultant, and Currently forming the Opioid Abuse Prevention Institute.
Dr Rosa is a board member of the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) and a volunteer at Crossroads Freedom Center - a residential facility in Maryland to help overcome addiction.
